The Visual Comfort Marcell Linear Chandelier, designed by Anne‑Marie Barton for Visual Comfort, pairs segmented natural alabaster with antique‑burnished brass hardware in a long, horizontal pendant. Its linear scale and calm presence are intended to provide ambient, evenly distributed illumination over dining tables, kitchen islands and other elongated surfaces.

The design is resolved as a balanced, dual‑point suspension: a slim rectangular canopy supports a long alabaster cylinder via two thin vertical cables. Small, round alabaster spheres sit along the suspension lines as decorative accents and may be repositioned or customised in the field.

Crafted from solid, segmented alabaster, the fixture shows subtle natural veining across its surface; metal elements are finished in antique‑burnished brass. The canopy is long and low‑profile to mirror the horizontal scale of the light, and the visible fixture height is compact (fixture height 9.5cm; overall width 142.2cm).

The Marcell uses a dedicated integrated LED light source rated at 35W producing approximately 4900lm to deliver a soft, diffused glow through the alabaster cylinder. The result is ambient downward and horizontal illumination with reduced glare, making it suitable for task‑adjacent ambient lighting over tables and islands. The fitting carries an IP22 rating for internal, dry or protected spaces.

Installation notes: overall suspension range is stated as 36.8cm to 610.9cm, but the height is not adjustable after installation. The fitting is slope‑ceiling compatible only when mounted perpendicular to the slope. Alabaster spheres and metal sleeves are customisable in the field; refer to the manufacturer documentation for final mounting, dimming and electrical requirements.
