STORY

The Visual Comfort Mahalo 32-inch Tiered Pendant, designed by Windsor Smith for Visual Comfort, is a sculptural ceiling pendant that combines layered metal shades with a central matte white glass globe. The design reads as an architectural focal point and is intended for interior use where a decorative ambient pendant is required.

Formally the fitting features two large, thin undulating metal shades arranged in overlapping, asymmetric tiers to create a multi-dimensional silhouette that changes with the viewing angle. It is offered in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Natural Oak.

Constructed from metal with a hand-rubbed antique brass finish, the pendant pairs warm, golden-bronze tones with an opal-style globe. A vertical central stem links the circular canopy to the shade assembly, emphasising a considered, engineered build quality.

The matte white glass globe acts as a diffuser to give soft, even ambient illumination while the wide tiered shades reflect light downwards and outwards, balancing direct and reflected light. The rigid downrod denotes a fixed-suspension mounting style, making this pendant best suited to rooms with higher ceilings such as dining areas, foyers or over an island when ceiling height allows.
