STORY

Visual Comfort Loire Tiered Flush Mount is a tiered flush mount ceiling light from Visual Comfort, designed by Aerin Lauder as part of the Loire range. It references mid-century Italian silhouettes and is intended to provide diffused ambient illumination for interior spaces.

The design arranges multiple overlapping circular glass discs into a cascading, downward‑tapering cluster that forms a roughly conical silhouette. The Loire is available in Polished Nickel and Gild finishes, offered in Medium and Large sizes, and supplied with White Strie or Clear Strie glass options.

Each disc is hand‑blown with a strié effect, producing translucent white, wispy swirl patterns within the clear material. The glass is secured to a polished metal framework by central metallic buttons, creating a contrast between the fluid glass and the warm metal hardware.

Visible light bulbs are positioned behind the layered discs; the strié glass filters and softens the output to reduce glare and produce a decorative ambient glow. The result is a sculptural ceiling presence that reads as both feature and soft general light.

The Loire is a flush mount designed for standard or low ceiling heights and carries an IP20 rating for interior use only. Visible bulbs form part of the aesthetic, so confirm lamp selection and dimming requirements with your electrician or Lighting Design Online consultant before installation. Warranty: 1 year.
