STORY

The Visual Comfort Leighton Flush Mount is a surface-mounted ceiling light from Visual Comfort's Leighton range, designed by Kate Spade. Its low-profile form sits close to the ceiling, making it suitable for interior rooms and lower ceilings where a suspended fixture would be impractical.

The fixture reads as a layered, circular composition: a central metal canopy with radiating arms supports two concentric tiers of overlapping, petal-shaped glass shades. The glass is cream-tinted and the metal finish is available in Polished Nickel or Soft Brass; sizes are offered in Medium and Large.

Made from metal and glass, each translucent petal is secured by a central metal cap, creating depth and a botanical aesthetic. The canopy measures 20.3 cm round; the medium size measures 47.6 cm diameter with a height of 15.2 cm, and the fitting weighs 3.6 kg.

Light is delivered via three internal E14 keyless sockets, each rated up to 40W. The tiered, cream-tinted petals diffuse the lamp output for soft, multi-directional ambient illumination. The fitting is Class I with an IP20 rating, intended for dry internal spaces.

The Leighton requires standard surface mounting and an earth connection consistent with Class I installation.
