STORY

The Visual Comfort Iva Medium Wrapped Sconce is a decorative wall sconce designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort. Its sculptural, ribbon-like form is engineered in metal to deliver considered ambient or accent lighting for bedrooms, hallways and intimate living spaces.

The design is formed from two wide metal sheets curved into overlapping, semi‑cylindrical scrolls arranged asymmetrically to suggest movement. It is offered in Polished Nickel, Bronze and Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass, and is specified in a Medium size that suits typical bedside or corridor mounting.

Construction is metal throughout with clean, straight sheet edges contrasting the flowing curves of the scrolls. The Bronze finish is hand‑rubbed with a textured matt appearance, while the interior faces carry a warmer metallic tone that picks up the light and creates highlights within the folds.

The light source is concealed within the wrapped folds so illumination is directed through the open ends to produce an upward and downward wash across the wall. This indirect approach reduces glare and helps create a calm, layered ambience rather than a single point of brightness.
