STORY

The Visual Comfort Iris Single Pendant is a ceiling-mounted pendant from the Iris range, designed by Thomas O'Brien for Visual Comfort. The design pairs a shallow clear glass drum with an industrial-inspired slotted bronze cylinder and hand-rubbed antique brass accents, intended for interior use (IP20).

Formally restrained, the pendant balances a modern glass drum with a textured metal core. It is offered in Bronze & Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Polished Nickel, and mounts to the ceiling via a square, flat bronze canopy suspended on a slender black cord; the cord can be adjusted at installation.

Construction combines a thick-walled, clear glass shade with a dark bronze cylindrical housing and metallic antique brass details at the top and bottom. A small brass cylindrical nut links the canopy to the suspension, emphasising the considered junction at the ceiling.

The clear glass shade leaves the single internal bulb visible and allows an unobstructed light output, making the pendant effective as a decorative ambient light or focal fixture. It carries an IP20 rating and is therefore specified for interior, dry zones.
