STORY

The Visual Comfort Hanea Pendant is a pendant ceiling light from the Hanea range, designed by Sean Lavin. The design uses a large, translucent glass globe bisected by a thin, matte black equatorial band and is intended to deliver even, diffused ambient illumination from overhead.

The form celebrates minimalist, mid-century modern geometry: a perfect sphere interrupted by a horizontal band to create a calm, graphic silhouette. The Hanea is offered in Natural Brass and Nightshade Black finishes and is available in the Grande size.

Crafted with a translucent glass shade and matt black hardware, the pendant suspends from a slim, straight rod and sits on a low-profile cylindrical canopy. These details keep the composition refined and allow the globe’s surface to read as a clear, soft plane of light.

The translucent globe diffuses light across its surface to reduce glare, making the fitting particularly effective as ambient lighting in living areas, dining spaces or circulation zones. The specification includes a high colour rendering index (CRI 90) to give faithful colour appearance under general illumination. The Hanea works well as a standalone focal piece and can also be grouped in multiples for a considered cluster over larger surfaces.

This pendant is supplied for hardwired ceiling installation; confirm lamp, driver and dimming compatibility with the technical datasheet where required. A one-year manufacturer’s warranty is provided with the product.
