STORY

The Visual Comfort Halwell Picture Light by Chapman & Myers is a 24-inch picture light designed to illuminate artwork and decorative objects. The design pairs a long, horizontal cylindrical shade with a refined antique-burnished brass framework and natural woven rattan to create a considered, artisan-led aesthetic.

The shade presents an open underside for direct, controlled light. Dual support arms and two rectangular backplates give the wide fixture stable mounting while integrated pivot joints let the shade be rotated to refine the angle of illumination.

Constructed from metal with an antique-burnished brass finish, the Halwell applies woven rattan across the shade, arm wrapping and the recessed panels of the backplates for a cohesive textured surface. The combination of metal and natural fibre brings warmth and balance to classic and contemporary interiors.

The fixture is intended for focused, directional lighting rather than general ambient light; the open underside directs light onto the subject and the adjustable joints allow practical control of beam direction. With an IP20 rating it is specified for indoor applications only.
