STORY

The Visual Comfort Esculpa Wall Light from Kelly Wearstler is a sculptural, decorative wall-mounted sconce designed to deliver considered accent lighting for interiors. The range's elongated, pill-shaped silhouette and recessed centre read as a crafted object as much as a light fitting.

Formally the Esculpa is defined by a deep concave recess and smooth rounded ends that create a subtle interplay of light and negative space. It is offered in two hand-finished appearances: Museum Brass and Museum Bronze.

Constructed in metal with a tactile, hand-applied patina, the surface shows gentle irregularities and a weathered matte character that complements traditional and contemporary schemes alike.

The light source is integrated and concealed beneath the upper overhang of the recessed section so illumination is directed downwards; the concave interior acts as a reflector to produce a soft, diffused glow suited to accent and circulation lighting.
