STORY

The Visual Comfort David Picture Light by Thomas O'Brien is a wall-mounted picture light conceived to highlight artwork and architectural details. The David range speaks to considered proportions and a restrained, transitional aesthetic.

Design-wise the fitting combines a thin, semi-cylindrical brass shield with substantial, dark-toned end blocks to create a ‘floating’ effect. It is available in Bronze & Antique Brass and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass with a Bronze shade.

Construction pairs a warm antiqued brass shield and rectangular mounting plate with a textured, patinated charcoal-toned metal for the end caps and internal frame. The design shows a clear separation between the top shield and rear structure, reinforcing the floating profile.

The curved brass shield acts as a light shroud, directing the internal lamp output downward to reduce direct glare and produce a slanted illumination ideal for artwork or wall features. The fixture is rated IP20 and therefore intended for dry, interior spaces.

Installation is straightforward: a solid rectangular mounting plate at the lower back secures the light to a flat wall surface and the heavy end caps lock the shield in place.
