STORY

The Visual Comfort David 24" Art Light, designed by Thomas O'Brien for Visual Comfort's David range, is a wall-mounted picture light created to illuminate artwork and displays with a slim, horizontal presence.

The design presents a long, slender rectangular silhouette and a semi-cylindrical metal shade that frames the light. It is offered in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Antique Brass with Bronze finishes, using a two-tone approach to add subtle contrast to the wall plane.

Construction is metal throughout: a dark bronze-finished curved shade sits between hand-rubbed antique brass end caps, while the shade interior is finished in reflective antique brass to assist light distribution. The finish is hand-applied, producing slight, deliberate variations in surface texture and tone.

Light is delivered as a downwash through a wide, open bottom aperture, concentrating illumination onto the surface below for an even, broad wash ideal for paintings and framed prints. The reflective interior helps spread light across a wide piece without visible hot spots.

Installation uses a small, discreet rectangular mounting plate for direct wall attachment; the bracket positions the fitting at a modest offset from the wall. The fitting is rated IP20 and intended for indoor, permanent installation. A 1 year product warranty is provided.
