STORY

The Visual Comfort Collier Chandelier, designed by Sean Lavin, is a draped ceiling fixture that reads like a large‑scale piece of jewellery for interiors. The Collier range pairs a flexible strand of faceted, translucent stone beads with refined metal fittings to create an architectural decorative light.

The chandelier is constructed as a flexible string of biconical stone beads joined by small metal links and is anchored at two ceiling points: a circular canopy disc and a smaller cylindrical cap. The flexible catenary drape can be adjusted between the two suspension points. It is offered in Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass and Polished Nickel, and in 2700K or 3000K colour temperatures.

Materially, the design combines a metal suspension system with translucent off‑white stone beads that reveal a subtle, natural texture. The metalwork is finished in a gold‑toned/brass palette that complements the creamy stone, emphasising a luxury material pairing.

Each bead functions as an individual diffuser, which softens and fragments light to create ambient illumination across a space. The fitting is specified with a high colour rendering index (CRI 90) and an IP20 rating, making it suitable for interior, dry zones where balanced ambient atmosphere and subtle shadowing are desired.
