STORY

The Visual Comfort Casoria Wall Sconce, designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort, is a linear decorative wall light with a mid‑century sculptural presence. Its vertical profile and dual‑light arrangement make it suited to hallways, living rooms and considered feature locations where ambient, architectural light is required.

The design is a slim, symmetrical composition: a circular metal backplate anchors two curved arms that carry elongated cylindrical glass shades above and below. The sconce is offered in Polished Nickel and presents a minimalist, architectural silhouette that complements contemporary and mid‑century schemes.

Constructed from metal with clear, vertically ribbed glass cylinders, the shades are secured to the frame with small round decorative thumb screws. The fixture measures approximately 23 inches in height and reflects careful proportioning between frame and glass.

Light is delivered both upwards and downwards through the long glass cylinders. Each lamp sits in a socket that accepts small clear candle‑style or T‑type bulbs, producing decorative ambient illumination rather than task‑level output. For mirror illumination, a typical mounting recommendation is to position sconces so the centre of the backplate sits around 60–65 inches from the finished floor; for bathrooms note the IP rating when choosing a zone.

Installation is via the circular metal backplate for a hardwired wall connection. The sconce carries an IP20 rating and is intended for dry, internal locations.
