STORY

The Visual Comfort Carlo Table Lamp, designed by Thomas O'Brien, is a disciplined table lamp that blends industrial cues with refined metallic finishes. The Carlo's wide, flat disc-shaped shade, slender central stem and tiered circular base present a composed silhouette that suits desks, side tables or bedside surfaces.

Design intent is clear: a shallow vertical-rim shade delivers a controlled pool of downward light while the very thin stem keeps the profile elegant. The Carlo is offered in White/Polished Nickel, Bronze/Antique Brass, Polished Nickel and Antique Brass to suit a range of schemes.

Constructed largely from metal with a warm, brushed or antiqued brass aesthetic, the lamp shows subtle tonal variation and a central circular inset detail on the top of the shade. A flared, tiered neck houses the socket assembly and the tiered pedestal base provides stable support.

Light is directed downwards through an opaque metal shade, making this lamp ideal for task or ambient localised lighting rather than general room illumination. A small knurled toggle or rotary switch on the base gives tactile on/off control at table height. The product carries an IP20 rating.
