The Visual Comfort Calvino Chandelier, designed by Ian K. Fowler, is a large linear ceiling chandelier that pairs industrial‑inspired metalwork with artisanal hand‑blown glass. The composition is intended for large residential spaces and is particularly suited to elongated areas such as dining tables and kitchen islands.

Formally, the Calvino uses a long rectangular ceiling canopy in a matte black finish with two thin downrods suspending a primary horizontal crossbar of black metal tubing. Several smaller metal stems intersect the main bar at perpendicular angles to create a deliberately asymmetric, modular silhouette.

Construction combines six hand‑blown clear glass discs of varying sizes with slim metal stems; metal joints and the disc sockets are finished with brass or gold‑toned collars. The contrast between the minimal metalwork and broad, transparent discs gives the glass a floating quality within the composition.
