STORY

The Visual Comfort Beckham Classic Sconce is a decorative wall light from the Beckham range, designed by Thomas O'Brien. Its considered proportions and blend of geometric and classic cues make it a purposeful choice for localized accent or task lighting indoors.

The design pairs a square backplate with a continuous vertical rod that passes through a small rectangular mounting block, offering a linear, architectural silhouette. A tiered cylindrical neck and a tapered drum shade complete the composition; the sconce is offered in Polished Nickel or Burnished Brass.

Construction is metal for the backplate and armature, matched with a white fabric shade that shows a fine weave texture. The metal components exhibit a uniform brushed texture, giving the fitting a calm, tactile finish.

The white fabric shade is intended to diffuse light and reduce glare, producing a soft, comfortable illumination suitable for bedside, hallway or living-room accent use. As a wall-mounted sconce it provides controlled, local lighting rather than whole-room illumination.

Note that the fitting is rated IP20, so it is specified for dry, indoor spaces.
