STORY

The Visual Comfort Avery Wall Sconce is a decorative interior wall light designed by Julie Neill for the Avery range. The sconce pairs a sculptural, botanical motif with a tapered drum shade to create a calm, contemporary accent for hallways, dining rooms or either side of furniture.

Its design is defined by a long, slender central stem with stylised, pointed leaves arranged in symmetrical pairs and a single off-white tapered shade at the top. The Avery is offered in two finishes: Plaster White and Antique Gold Leaf, making it simple to choose a tone that complements your scheme.

Constructed in metal with a uniform, matt plaster-like finish, the fitting includes a circular backplate for wall mounting and measures approximately 26 inches in height. The finish gives an artisanal texture while keeping the overall silhouette minimal and vertical.

The tapered shade houses a single internal bulb and is designed to diffuse light for soft ambient illumination. Its slim profile and vertical orientation suit narrow wall spaces; when installing multiple sconces allow a balanced spread (the manufacturer suggests about 8–10 feet between fixtures in long runs).

This sconce is intended for hardwired installation (no visible external cord) and carries an IP20 rating for indoor use. Bulb options are available as an add-on; bulbs are not supplied as standard. A 2D paper template can be ordered to check siting at actual size before installation.
