STORY

Visual Comfort Ava Single Sconce is a wall-mounted decorative sconce from the Ava range, designed by Alexa Hampton for Visual Comfort. The piece pairs clear, vertically fluted glass with a warm metal backplate to deliver a considered, architectural presence suitable for interior bathroom and general wall illumination.

The design balances classical references — a stepped, concentric backplate and decorative socket cup — with Art Deco-inspired fluted glass. It is offered in Bronze, Antique Brass and Polished Nickel finishes to suit a variety of interiors.

Constructed from metal and clear glass, the fitting shows hand-applied living finish qualities on its metalwork and a ribbed glass shade that is open at the top. The short horizontal arm supports the vertical shade and the stepped cup secures the glass in place.

The sconce accommodates a single lamp, visible through the transparent, vertically-ribbed shade. The fluted glass refracts light to reduce glare and also permits upward light distribution through the open top, making it useful as a vanity or ambient wall light.

Designed for hardwired installation, the Ava Single Sconce carries an IP20 rating and is intended for interior use.
