STORY

The Visual Comfort Asalea Single Sconce is a decorative wall light from the Asalea range, designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort. Its transitional silhouette combines a geometric metal mounting with a fluted glass shade to deliver considered indoor illumination.

The sconce features a circular metal backplate and a short horizontal arm that supports a clear, bell-shaped glass shade with prominent vertical fluting and a scalloped lower edge. It is offered in Polished Nickel and Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass finishes to suit different interior palettes.

Metalwork is finished in a soft, hand‑rubbed antique brass where specified, paired with clear fluted glass that meets a tiered brass collar at the dome. Inside the shade a neat cluster of three vertical sockets provides a refined, layered detailing between the brass exterior and the polished internal housings.

The shade is oriented downwards so light is directed towards the floor or wall surface; the transparent fluted glass keeps the internal bulbs visible while gently breaking the beam into a textured wash. The fitting is designed for a three-bulb candelabra-style cluster to achieve balanced ambient or accent illumination.

Installation is via the flush circular backplate; the fitting carries an IP22 rating, indicating suitability for interior use away from direct water contact. The sconce is specified to accept three candelabra-style lamps—check bulb type, wattage and dimming compatibility when finalising the installation. The product includes a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
