STORY

The Vistosi Tread Pendant, designed by Chiaramonte & Marin, pairs a compact cylindrical form with deep vertical fluting for interior ambient and accent lighting. The design intention is architectural and tactile: a small-scale pendant that reads as a crafted object when unlit and a textured light source when illuminated.

The shade is available in Burned Earth, Old Green, Crystal Glass, and Smoke Glass, allowing the same ribbed profile to sit in warm or cooler schemes. Its vertical ribs create a distinct play of light and shadow that complements considered interiors.

Construction combines a smoked, translucent glass cylinder with a dark, matte metal cap and a single thin black suspension cable. These material choices give the pendant a restrained, crafted appearance and a clear material contrast between glass and metal.

Light is provided by an integrated LED (12W, 1500lm, 2700K) positioned centrally within the shade. The fluted glass diffuses the lamp to produce vertical rays and soft shadowing; the pendant’s scale and suspension make it well suited to installation in rows or clusters above counters, islands or narrow tables.

The Tread Pendant is dimmable via phase-cut dimming (DIM2) and is rated IP20, so it is specified for indoor, dry locations.
