TOOY Filipa Pendant

The TOOY Filipa Pendant, designed by Corrado Dotti for TOOY, is a multi-light pendant that references classic Chinese lanterns while keeping a contemporary architectural language. The collection pairs powder-coated metal frames with sand-grey interiors and borosilicate glass diffusers to deliver considered ambient illumination.

Formally the Filipa uses open, rounded-rectangular frames that outline the light rather than enclosing it, emphasising negative space and a lightweight presence. The range is offered in Leather and Sand Grey appearances and in 5 Rings or 6 Rings configurations to suit different scale requirements.

Construction combines powder-coated painted metal exteriors with sand-grey internal surfaces and double-sided borosilicate glass diffusers. The fittings are presented with a matte-black ceiling canopy and slim suspension cables; spherical opal diffusers sit in cylindrical metallic sockets with a warm gold/brass tone for subtle contrast.

Light is emitted from a source located within the borosilicate glass diffuser, while the suspensions include an additional integrated LED for direct downward illumination. The opal diffusers provide soft, even light distribution that reduces glare, making the pendants well suited to living and dining spaces. The product has an IP40 rating for interior use.

Specification notes such as included lamps, driver and dimming compatibility should be confirmed at point of order; a one-year manufacturer warranty is supplied. IP40 indicates the fitting is intended for internal, dry-zone installations rather than wet or external locations.
