STORY

Tala The Muse Portable Lantern is a cordless portable lantern and table lamp from Tala's The Muse range. Its tall, cylindrical profile references classic lanterns while the Candlenut finish and brass-toned internal frame give it a considered, contemporary presence for tables, terraces and gatherings.

The form combines a solid base and flat top with a clear cylindrical enclosure that protects the light source. A discreet brass-finish dimmer knob sits on the base and a gold-toned handle on the top makes the lantern easy to carry. The Muse is offered in Solid Brass, Pomona Red, Hackles Black, Candlenut White and Garden Green.

Construction uses a metal body with a clear protective cylinder and an internal brass-toned frame that echoes a traditional candle holder. The light sits behind a frosted, pear-shaped bulb that softens the beam. The product is designed to be repairable to extend service life and reduce waste.

Light is delivered by a Dim-to-Warm LED bulb that changes to a warmer colour as it is dimmed, creating soft, ambient illumination. The integrated dimmer offers simple, tactile control so the lamp works equally well as table ambience or portable outdoor mood lighting.

Practical notes: The Muse is IP44 rated for outdoor use and runs cordless on an internal rechargeable battery for up to 24 hours on a single charge. It ships with a USB-C charging cable; it is not compatible with fast-charging cables and the manufacturer recommends the supplied 0.5m USB-C cable and a 2‑Amp USB Type-A adapter. A Dim-to-Warm LED bulb is included and the product comes with a 2–3 year warranty.
