STORY

The Nordlux Birk Outdoor Wall Light is a compact architectural exterior fitting from Nordlux. The Birk cylinder is designed to deliver considered vertical illumination for external walls while expressing a minimalist industrial aesthetic.

Formally the lamp is a tall, vertical cylinder mounted on a circular backplate by a short cylindrical arm. Clear transparent rings sit near the top and bottom apertures, producing a horizontal halo effect while the main light is directed vertically.

Visually the body is finished in a finely textured matte black, contrasted by flat transparent lenses capping the top and bottom faces. The construction is restrained and purposefully simple, with a visible securing screw on the mounting plate indicating accessible maintenance.

Light is emitted both upwards and downwards through the top and bottom lenses to create architectural uplight and downlight. The integrated clear rings add a soft, horizontal glow around each aperture; the overall effect is suitable for accenting facades, entrances and boundary walls.

This fitting is rated IP44 for exterior use and is intended for vertical wall mounting. The compact backplate and single fixing suggest straightforward installation to a flat external surface. Manufacturer warranty varies between 2–15 years according to model or purchase terms.
