Design For The People Align Pendant is a ceiling‑mounted pendant designed by Maria Berntsen for the Align range. The fixture presents a nested double‑hemispherical form that reads as a calm, architectural object for interior ceiling illumination.

The Align uses a minimalist, layered geometry where one half‑sphere sits within another to create an asymmetrical profile. The inner shade is movable so the pendant can be set for direct downlight or a softer, angled glow. The range is available in White and Black finishes.

Construction uses moulded plastics/acrylics with a satin, soft matte exterior surface on the pictured white version. A small, brass‑coloured pin serves as the functional pivot and a discreet visual accent. The pendant is suspended from a conical ceiling canopy by a slim cable.

The inner hemisphere has a warm, reflective interior that helps shape the light while controlling glare. Adjusting the movable shade changes the direction and quality of the emission, allowing the Align to work as a focused task light or a more diffuse ambient pendant depending on its setting.
