The Mullan Lighting Caledon Grand Pendant is a statement ceiling-mounted pendant from the Caledon range by Mullan Lighting. Its drum silhouette pairs a stark black metal frame with a dense curtain of vertical glass rods to create a contemporary chandelier for interior spaces.

Formally the shade is a drum constructed from two parallel circular metal rings joined by thin vertical struts. Around the full circumference 116 clear glass rods are arranged closely together, producing a defined, architectural perimeter and a refined profile.

The Caledon Grand is built from metal and glass; small decorative finials accent the intersections of the rings and struts and the shade is held by a black metal link chain connected to a central mounting rod. Multiple light source sockets sit within the shade and are visible through the glass rods.

The closely packed glass rods act as a multi-faceted refractive surface, breaking and diffusing light to create an ambient, jewel-like effect. The fitting is intended as a central pendant or chandelier where a sculptural presence and even ambient illumination are required.
