Mullan Lighting Austin Pendant

The Mullan Lighting Austin Pendant is a large factory-cage ceiling pendant from Mullan Lighting. It pairs a 53cm hemispherical metal dome with an external wire cage to create a purposeful industrial character suited to restaurants, bars and industrial-inspired interiors.

The design places the dome and cage in balance: an enclosed metal shade sits beneath an open-grid protective cage, with the cage fixed to the shade rim using visible screw fasteners. The suspension uses a black link chain with an integrated cable and a metal loop at the dome apex; the chain, hook and cage are powder-coated black while the ceiling rose is finished to match the outer shade colour. The shade inner is finished white as standard and the pendant is offered in a range of shade colours.

Constructed around a solid metal dome and a formed wire cage, the Austin is powder-coated for durability and visual consistency. The two-part construction—solid shade plus skeletal cage—gives a robust, industrial feel and a clear, honest build which is made to order in Mullan Village.

The open-cage geometry provides predominantly downward-directed light while keeping the lamp protected from direct contact. The pendant accepts a single E27 lamp (not included), making it compatible with a wide choice of lamp styles and light outputs for task or general ambient lighting in commercial and residential interiors.

Installation notes: this is a Class I fitting and requires connection to earth. The pendant is supplied for ceiling suspension via chain and integrated cable; the ceiling rose is finished to match the shade. It is rated IP20 for interior, dry-zone use. UL and CE compliance are indicated for sales markets where those marks apply. Manufactured to order and typically dispatched within 2–3 weeks. Warranty covers manufacturer defects only.
