The Mm Lampadari Sass surface light is a sculptural, surface-mounted ceiling and wall fitting from the Sass range. Realised in overlapping metal sheets finished in gold and silver leaf, the design is intended to act as both a decorative object and a source of indirect ambient illumination.

The fixture is composed of around ten to twelve overlapping, irregular plates with rounded, organic edges set in a layered, vertically oriented composition. The bi-metallic combination of warm gold and cool silver leaf gives a distinctive, high-contrast aesthetic that reads as art on the wall or ceiling.

Construction centres on a discreet internal frame that supports the layered plates and allows flush mounting to a flat surface. The textured, mottled surfaces are characteristic of hand-applied leaf and the overlapping assembly hides technical components from view, preserving the sculptural intent.

Light sources sit behind the plates to create a halo-like, indirect glow. This approach produces soft, layered shadows and highlights across the textured metal, contributing to a warm, balanced ambience without direct glare.
