STORY

The Lutron Pico Remote Control from the Pico range is a compact wireless lighting remote and scene selector by Lutron. It is designed to give simple, tactile control of smart lighting systems for on/off, a favourite preset and intermediate dimming.

Form follows use: the Pico has a slim, rectangular portrait body with three horizontally arranged tactile buttons occupying the front face. The buttons use universally recognisable light-iconography to indicate full on, a favourite level and off, and the unit is finished in a matte black that presents a low-profile, modern appearance.

Construction is practical and unobtrusive. The housing is a matte-finished synthetic material that resists fingerprints and is comfortable to hold. A small circular green LED indicator in the upper-left corner provides clear user feedback when a button is pressed.

Light control is delivered wirelessly: the Pico adjusts brightness levels and selects scenes on compatible smart lighting systems. The top button signifies a full-on setting, the middle button is typically used for a favourite or preset level, and the bottom button is off. The compact design allows handheld use or mounting into a wall plate to mimic a traditional wired switch.

Installation is straightforward: the Pico is supplied as a wireless control so no driver or lamp is included. It can be used as a portable remote or fixed into a matching wall plate for a conventional switch-like appearance.
