Lodes Volum Pendant

The Lodes Volum Pendant is a blown‑glass pendant from the Volum family, designed in collaboration with Snøhetta. Its glossy, naturally imperfect diffuser provides soft, diffused ambient illumination and is intended for interior ceiling suspension.

The pendant reads as a seamless, floating volume with an oblate spheroid profile and subtle organic irregularities. It suspends from a single slender cable attached at the top centre; the diffuser is available in diameters 14, 22, 29 and 42 cm and is finished in glossy white.

Each diffuser is mouth‑blown glass, producing an opaque, highly reflective surface that emphasises three‑dimensional form through soft highlights rather than surface texture. The collection pays homage to traditional glassblowing in its intentionally imperfect shapes.

The translucent glass is designed to radiate light evenly across its surface, delivering gentle all‑round ambient illumination while reducing direct glare. That makes the pendant suitable for living rooms, dining areas and circulation spaces where a balanced atmosphere is required.
