STORY

The Lodes Random Pendant from the Random range, designed by Chia‑Ying Lee, is a blown-glass pendant that reads as a perfectly spherical decorative ceiling luminaire. Its frosted glass sphere and integrated light source provide gentle, even ambient illumination for interior spaces.

Formally the piece is a study in geometric purity: a smooth, seamless globe suspended on a slender vertical cable so the sphere appears to float. The Random family offers flexibility — the collection includes six sizes and multiple finishes, including Frosted White, to suit single or clustered compositions.

Construction centres on a hand-blown glass diffuser with a translucent frosted finish that distributes light uniformly across the surface. The minimalist top attachment and unobtrusive suspension keep the visual focus on the sphere itself, reinforcing a calm, contemporary aesthetic.

The pendant uses an integrated internal LED light source. Colour temperature options are 2700 K or 3000 K; output is a low-wattage LED (around 3 W) with CRI 90 and MacAdam 3-step tolerance, supplied to operate at 350 mA — producing a soft, diffuse pool of light rather than a focused beam.

Product notes: the integrated LED is supplied; the canopy is sold separately. The fitting is rated IP20 for interior use and comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty. Driver or transformer details should be confirmed for project specifications.
