STORY

The Lodes Random Pendant is a single-sphere ceiling pendant from the Random range, designed by Chia‑Ying Lee in 2020. The fixture presents a perfectly spherical, high-clarity glass globe intended to deliver ambient and decorative overhead illumination indoors.

The design emphasises extreme minimalism: a smooth, reflective globe appears to float on a near-invisible suspension cable, evoking a soap-bubble or light orb. It is available in Clear, Glossy Bronze, Frosted White and Glossy Smoke, and offered in 2700K and 3000K colour temperatures.

Manufactured in high-clarity glass, the sphere has a smooth, reflective surface and a small, discreet top fitting that secures the globe to the suspension wire. The minimalist hardware is intentionally unobtrusive so the glowing sphere remains the visual focus.

The internal light source is diffused to create a uniform glow within the glass globe, making the pendant suitable for ambient or decorative lighting. With a CRI of 90 it renders colour with clarity and works well as a solitary accent or repeated in light groupings.

Note that the canopy is sold separately and the pendant carries an IP20 rating, intended for interior, dry locations. The fitting is supplied with a one-year manufacturer warranty; confirm canopy and mounting compatibility with your electrician at specification stage.
