STORY

The Lodes Random Pendant Light, designed by Chia‑Ying Lee for Lodes, pairs three blown glass spheres into a single decorative ceiling pendant that provides soft, diffused ambient illumination.

The design arranges three clear glass diffusers in an asymmetric cluster, sized 18cm, 14cm and 12cm. The range is offered in Clear, Frosted White, Glossy Bronze and Glossy Smoke finishes and in two colour temperatures: 2700K and 3000K.

Each sphere is mouth-blown glass suspended on a thin metal wire and finished with small high‑shine metal caps converging at a central polished chrome cylinder. The LED source sits in a silicone seat inside each diffuser and the fixture has an overall airy, lightweight presence.

The three integrated 1W LEDs deliver soft white light with a CRI of 90, retaining good colour rendering for interiors. Random works well as a single feature over a table or combined in multiple clusters to illuminate larger areas while maintaining an ephemeral, bubble-like aesthetic.

Note that the driver requires modification to be housed within the canopy and the ceiling rose is ordered separately. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use and comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
