The Lodes A-TUBE Surface Downlight is a slim, cylindrical ceiling fitting from Lodes' A-TUBE range, designed by Lodes in 2013. Its clean, architectural profile concentrates light downwards and is intended for interior use where focused illumination or rhythmic groupings are required.

The form is a tall, tubular cylinder with a 6 cm diameter and an extreme height-to-width ratio that makes it visually striking compared with standard downlights. The ceiling version is offered in four lengths (14, 30, 60 and 100 cm) while the suspension variant is available in 30, 60 and 100 cm; finishes include matte white, matte black and a coppery bronze.

Constructed from aluminium with a 4 mm thick body, A-TUBE has a smooth, matte exterior and a hollow interior designed to house the lamp. The minimalist detailing and concealed fixings give a seamless, architectural aesthetic suited to considered interiors.
