STORY

The Hinkley Wabash Outdoor Wall Light is a traditional, wall-mounted lantern from Hinkley, designed to give considered ambient illumination to exterior entrances, porches and patios. Its tapered lantern form and classical crown make it immediately legible as an architectural exterior fitting.

Formally the lantern presents a tapered body that is wider at the top, a domed, tiered crown capped by a multi-faceted finial and clear glass panels on all sides. The glass is accented with metal muntins and a distinctive double-chevron fretwork that gives the fitting an architectural presence. The Wabash is offered in two sizes: Small and Medium.

The lantern is constructed from a robust metal frame with a heavily textured, dark metallic bronze or copper appearance and lighter metallic highlights that suggest an aged, weathered patina. A rectangular mounting plate and a horizontal support arm secure the body back to the wall; an embossed 'HINKLEY' plate is visible on the bracket.

Inside the clear-glass housing a single central socket accepts one lamp, allowing the fitting to provide clear, ambient light with visible lamp character where desired. The transparent panels favour clarity of light and a sense of architectural balance, making the Wabash appropriate for external ambient or accent lighting.

The Wabash carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water and is intended for permanent outdoor installation on a vertical surface via its rectangular mounting plate. Check lamp compatibility for outdoor-rated bulbs and any dimming requirements with your electrician. Hinkley provides a 3-year warranty on this fitting.
