STORY

The Hinkley Manhattan Outdoor Wall Lantern is part of Hinkley’s Manhattan range and reinterprets the traditional train station lantern for contemporary exteriors. The small, rectilinear form is finished in hand-painted oil-rubbed bronze and is IP44 rated for protected outdoor use.

The design reads as a minimalist Arts & Crafts or Mission-style lantern with clean geometric lines and clear glass panels that expose the lamp. It is offered in three sizes: Large, Medium and Small to suit different elevations and porch scales.

Construction is robust die-cast metal with four long clear glass panels and a flat, square roof that overhangs the body. A rectangular wall backplate and a short horizontal arm allow the lantern to sit flush to a vertical surface while maintaining the pared-back silhouette.

Light is delivered from a single downward-facing socket beneath the top cover; the lantern is designed to accept a standard A-type bulb, visible through the clear glass for a candid, architectural glow. Its directionality and transparency make it suited to entryways, porches and façades where a traditional lantern presence with clear illumination is required.
