Foscarini Twiggy Floor Lamp

Foscarini Twiggy Floor Lamp is a high-arched floor lamp designed by Marc Newson for Foscarini. The Twiggy range is recognised for a single continuous curve that suspends a large diffuser, and this variant pairs a warm wood‑grain drum with a slender matte-black arch to create a striking yet restrained presence.

The design is intentionally minimal: an extremely thin, flexible arched rod creates a wide, high-reaching curve so the large shade appears to float above a seating area. The Twiggy is offered in Greige and Black appearance options to suit modern and natural schemes.

Construction follows the manufacturer specification: the diffuser and stem are produced from fibreglass-based composite with a liquid coating, while the base is an epoxy powder-coated metal disc. The diffuser contains a translucent polycarbonate upper disc and a PMMA lower disc with a polyprismatic internal surface; the LED board is mounted on an aluminium disc protected by a small PMMA cap.

Twiggy provides both direct downward illumination and a soft, diffused ambient glow. The broad shade casts a wide pool of light beneath the arc, making it suitable for positioning over a lounge chair, reading spot or table while the base remains out of the way. The cantilevered form gives practical reach without visual bulk.

Practical notes: the lamp is supplied with four counterweights to adjust diffuser height and a transparent cable fitted with a dimmer that also functions as the ON/OFF switch. Additional arc-extending rods are available on request. This model is rated IP20 for indoor use and includes the integrated LED board as specified by the manufacturer.
