Foscarini Twiggy Floor Lamp, from the Twiggy range designed by Marc Sadler, is a formal study in lightness: a slender stem supports a generous cylindrical diffuser that delivers both direct and indirect illumination for living rooms and bedrooms.

The design plays on contrast — an exceptionally thin vertical rod meets a wide, drum-shaped shade and a low-profile circular base. The lamp’s minimal silhouette and uniform matte finish create a quiet, contemporary presence in a room.

Construction details are precise: the rod and diffuser are formed from a fibreglass-based composite with a liquid-coated surface, the upper diffuser incorporates a translucent polycarbonate disc and the lower diffuser uses a PMMA disc with a polyprismatic internal face. The base is epoxy powder coated metal and the power cable emerges from the centre.

Light is delivered both downward for reading and upward for subtle ambient uplift; internal translucent discs temper glare and help distribute light evenly across the shade openings. The dual-opening shade is purpose-built to provide task light below and soft, reflected light above.
