STORY

Foscarini Twiggy Floor Lamp is an arching floor lamp from the Twiggy range, designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini. Its slender, sweeping silhouette positions a light source well away from the base, delivering direct downward illumination while contributing a soft ambient layer to the room.

The design is built around a highly flexible, fibreglass-based composite rod that forms a wide cantilevered arc and terminates in an off-centre light point, allowing the base to sit away from the illuminated area. The lamp is available in Grey or Black and can be specified in 2700K or 3000K colour temperatures.

Construction combines a lacquered fibreglass-based composite rod with an epoxy powder coated painted metal circular base. The shade shows a light-toned wood-grain appearance and the LED is mounted on an aluminium disc protected by a small PMMA cap. The product is supplied with four counterweights to adjust the shade height via the purpose-provided seat above the diffuser.

Twiggy provides focused, downward task light together with a cosy, diffused ambient glow thanks to its translucent polycarbonate upper diffuser and opaline PMMA lower diffuser disc. The double-sided integrated LED board delivers the light source; the transparent cable incorporates a dimmer that operates as both brightness control and the on/off switch. The fitting carries an IP20 rating.

The lamp is freestanding with a low-profile circular base and a discreet power cord; no ceiling fix is required. Supplied technical details include the integrated LED assembly and the fitted dimmer. Warranty period is 1 year.
