Foscarini Twiggy Elle Floor Lamp

The Foscarini Twiggy Elle Floor Lamp, designed by Marc Sadler for the Twiggy range, is a long-reaching arc floor lamp that places an off-centre light point well away from its base. Its sweeping profile and minimalist silhouette are intended to illuminate dining tables and lounge seating while remaining visually light.

Formally, Twiggy Elle is defined by an exceptionally slender, flexible rod that creates a wide, architectural arc above a low-profile circular base and a drum-shaped shade. The lamp is offered in Crimson, Grey, Graphite, Black and White to suit a range of interior schemes.

Construction uses a fibreglass-based composite rod that delivers the characteristic curvature and strength, an epoxy powder-coated metal base and layered diffusers: a translucent polycarbonate upper diffuser with an opaline white PMMA lower diffuser disc finished with a satin surface. A thin translucent power cable exits the base discreetly.

Light is delivered by an integrated double-sided LED board mounted on an aluminium disc and protected by a small PMMA cover. The combination of upper translucent and lower opaline diffusers controls glare while producing both direct light beneath the arc and a cosy ambient glow — suitable for task and ambient needs over tables and seating.

Installation and use notes: the lamp is supplied with four counter-weights which are inserted in the purpose-provided seat above the diffuser to adjust its height; the rod’s tension and counter-weights together allow position tuning. A transparent cable is fitted with a dimmer that functions as both the ON/OFF switch and gradual intensity control. The fitting is rated IP20 and comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
