The Foscarini Twiggy Floor Lamp, designed by Marc Sadler, is a large-scale cantilever floor lamp that brings focused light well beyond its base. The Twiggy range reinterprets the classic arched floor lamp so a single fitting can cover a table or seating area without intrusive overhead work.

Formally the lamp is defined by an exceptionally thin, flexible rod that describes a wide, sweeping arc and supports an oversized cylindrical drum shade with a matte exterior. The dramatic contrast between the slender, skeletal arm and the substantial shade creates a considered visual balance suited to contemporary living and hospitality schemes.

Construction uses a fibreglass-based composite for the rod and shade components, combined with a translucent polycarbonate upper diffuser and an opaline white PMMA lower diffuser disc. The base is a large, flat metal disc finished in epoxy powder coat, while the light source is a double-sided LED board mounted on an aluminium disc and protected by a small PMMA cap.

Light is delivered as direct downward illumination beneath the shade together with a soft, diffused ambient wash, making the lamp useful for task-orientated zones and relaxed seating alike. A system of counter-weights above the diffuser allows fine adjustment of the shade height, and a transparent power cable includes an inline dimmer for gradual brightness control or on/off operation.
