Foscarini Tress Wall Washer

The Foscarini Tress Wall Washer, designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini, is a sculptural wall-mounted light that delivers indirect, semi-diffused ambient illumination. Its tall, slim cylindrical silhouette reads as both an architectural element and a decorative light source.

The design uses overlapping, irregular bands to create a woven, high‑contrast surface. The weave is dense at the top and bottom with a more open, chaotic lattice in the centre, producing a graphic, scenic effect. The range is offered in two sizes and available in Black and White finishes.

The diffuser is a fibreglass-based composite produced by modelling tape along a mould with automatic control of pitch and pattern, then liquid-coated for a refined surface. The internal wall-mounting plate and housing are made of an aluminium-coloured, epoxy powder-coated die‑cast zamak.

Light filters through the open-lattice centre to project a patterned glow onto the mounting surface while the opaque extremities provide a controlled, indirect wash. As a wall washer it is intended to deliver ambient, accent or sculptural light rather than focused task illumination.
