Foscarini Satellight Pendant

The Foscarini Satellight Pendant, designed by Eugeni Quitllet, is a hand-blown glass suspension lamp from the Satellight range. Its layered glass construction—an outer transparent cone and a glossy white inner globe—creates a sculptural effect while delivering both diffused ambient illumination and direct downward light.

The design intentionally contrasts a geometric conical envelope with an organic spherical diffuser so the white luminous core appears to float within the clear glass. A slim stainless-steel suspension wire and a transparent electrical cable reduce visual clutter and keep attention on the glass forms.

Both glass elements are mouth-blown, giving the lamp a refined, tactile quality. The ceiling canopy incorporates a galvanised metal bracket and a glossy white batch-dyed ABS cover; a canopy decentralisation kit is available for off-centre fixing.

The inner white globe acts as the primary diffuser to minimise glare while the open base of the cone allows unobstructed downlight. The fitting is supplied with an LED retrofit E27 lamp (21W, 2700K, ≈2451lm, CRI >80) and is dimmable. The lamp is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use.
