Foscarini Satellight Pendant

The Foscarini Satellight Pendant is a suspension pendant from the Satellight range, designed by Eugeni Quitllet. Its poetic, surprising form pairs a clear outer cone with a white inner globe to create the impression of a luminous sphere floating within glass while delivering diffused ambient light and directed downlight without glare.

Formally the lamp is composed of two hand‑blown glass elements: a transparent conical outer shade and a glossy white spherical inner globe with a satin finish. The contrast between clear and satin surfaces gives a calm, sculptural presence suitable for dining, living and reception spaces. The fitting is suspended by a stainless‑steel suspension cable alongside a transparent electrical cable; the suspension cable shows a slight spiral curvature along its length.

Construction is true to traditional glass craft: the outer cone and inner globe are hand‑blown, with the inner diffuser finished in satin white to soften and redistribute light. The ceiling canopy includes a galvanised metal bracket and a glossy white batch‑dyed ABS cover; a canopy decentralisation kit is available for off‑centre ceiling positions.

The light source is contained within the inner sphere to give soft, warm illumination and controlled downward light. The lamp is supplied with an E27 LED retrofit bulb (21W, 2700 K, 2451 lm, CRI >80) and is dimmable, producing warm, soft light designed to be completely without glare. The fitting is rated IP20 and intended for indoor environments only.

The Satellight Pendant is hardwired and supplied with the ceiling canopy and suspension hardware required for ceiling mounting. The included LED retrofit bulb is dimmable; check compatibility with your chosen dimmer. A 1 year manufacturer warranty is provided.
