Foscarini Rituals Pendant

The Foscarini Rituals Pendant, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, is a blown-glass ceiling pendant from the Rituals range. Its compact, lantern-like form gives a cosy, diffused ambient light suitable for a variety of interior settings, with suspension lengths available on request up to H. 10 m.

Formally the design references Oriental paper lanterns translated into a contemporary glass silhouette: a bulbous, slightly flattened ovoid diffuser with a continuous, horizontal striped texture. The pendant hangs on a thin structural wire while a separate, wavy power cable provides a deliberate visual contrast.

The diffuser is produced in blown glass using a mould with negative decorations; the surface is then manually ground and immersed in acid to create a plaster-like, matte finish that emphasises the striped effect. The ceiling mounting plate is metal with an epoxy powder coat.

The translucent blown glass diffuser softens and evenly distributes light from its internal lamp. The fixture is supplied with an E27 11W LED retrofit lamp (2700 K, 1521 lm, CRI >80) and is dimmable. IP20 rating makes the Rituals Pendant suitable for interior ambient lighting rather than wet or exterior zones.

Installation is via the included ceiling plate; the pendant suspends from a thin wire with a separate power cable and can be specified at extended drop lengths on request. The light is supplied complete with the stated E27 retrofit lamp; for dimming use a compatible LED dimmer. The product carries a one-year manufacturer warranty.
