The lamp features a vertically elongated ovoid diffuser marked by thin, horizontal ribs that produce a subtle striped effect. The surface has a plaster‑like, matte quality created by grinding and acid immersion, and the voluminous glass contrasts with a low‑profile tripod base to create a balanced composition.

Construction follows traditional glassworking techniques: moulded blown glass is manually ground and treated to emphasise its textured finish. The diffuser rests on an epoxy powder‑coated die‑cast zinc tripod; the slender three‑leg base gives stable support while keeping the visual focus on the glass volume.

The translucent, ribbed glass softens and spreads light for a warm, even glow with reduced glare, making the lamp ideal for ambient and mood lighting. Its form and finish recall handcrafted lanterns, so it reads equally well in contemporary and more layered interior schemes.

Practical details: the lamp uses an E27 lamp holder (bulb not included), with a maximum 105W lamp. An on/off switch and a cable dimmer are fitted on the transparent supply cable for gradual brightness control. The fitting is rated IP20 and is intended for indoor use.
