Foscarini Plass Table Lamp

Foscarini Plass Table Lamp, designed by Luca Nichetto, interprets a blown-glass pearl at a domestic scale. The Plass table lamp is formed from rotationally-moulded polycarbonate to create a large, translucent diffuser that brings a sculptural presence to interior surfaces.

The lamp’s elongated ovoid body features pronounced vertical fluting that refracts light and produces a gentle, kaleidoscopic pattern on the surface below and around it. It is offered in Light Blue and Grey finishes, each retaining the characteristic irregularities that recall hand-made glass.

Construction uses rotational moulding to form a hollow, seamless shade from translucent polycarbonate. A low-profile circular base and an internal mount are finished in brushed aluminium, and the diffuser includes subtle surface irregularities intended to mimic artisan glasswork while keeping the fitting lightweight and robust.

Light is delivered as a mix of diffused and direct output through the textured polycarbonate, producing balanced ambient illumination with decorative surface effects rather than focused task lighting. The fitting accepts an E27 lamp (150W max); the lamp is not included. A dimmer is supplied, allowing simple control of output.

The Plass is specified for indoor use (IP20). It comes with a transparent electrical cable and requires a compatible E27 lamp. Where a specific lumen level or colour temperature is required, choose the appropriate E27 lamp to match your design intent.
