Foscarini Plass Pendant by Luca Nichetto is a multi-element suspension light that references traditional Venetian glass pearls while using modern materials. Part of the Plass range, the pendant is designed to deliver both diffused ambient light and measured direct illumination.

The form is defined by oval, bead-like diffusers with a vertically fluted surface that intentionally nods to hand-blown glass. The piece is offered in two sizes and is shown here as a stacked vertical configuration that creates a strong vertical presence for generous volumes and high ceilings.

Diffusers are formed in transparent polycarbonate using rotational moulding to produce seamless, hollow bodies; a subtle smoky or neutral grey tint and slight surface variation enhance light refraction. Internal mounting components are brushed aluminium, the suspension uses a stainless steel cable and a transparent electrical cord, and the ceiling canopy includes a galvanised metal bracket with a glossy chromed cover.

The lamp provides a combination of diffused and direct light: the fluted surface softens and scatters light while the internal geometry gives measured directionality suitable for ambient schemes and vertical emphasis. The fitting is rated IP20 and intended for indoor, dry locations.
