Foscarini Gem Wall Light

Foscarini Gem Wall Light is a decorative wall lamp from the Gem range, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba. The design declares the preciousness of hand‑blown glass and is intended to deliver soft, diffused ambient light in interior settings.

The form is a slightly flattened oblate spheroid with a high‑relief geometric pattern of diagonal and horizontal lines across the surface. The textured finish reads as a graphic, undulating wave that remains visually striking even when the lamp is off. The Gem wall support is offered in White/Graphite, White, and White/Gold finish pairings to coordinate with varied schemes.

The diffuser is produced from hand‑blown cased glass using a stationary moulding technique that creates the raised diamond‑like pattern across the whole surface. The mounting component is formed from epoxy powder‑coated metal and ABS, giving a neat connection between glass and wall.

Light is delivered as softened, ambient illumination through the cased glass diffuser; the texture refracts light to create a composed atmosphere and subtle surface shadowing. The fixture functions as a decorative ambient source rather than a direct task light, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and circulation spaces where gentle, balanced light is required.
