Foscarini Folio Decorative Wall Light by designers Alessandro Vecchiato and Carlo Urbinati reimagines blown glass as a contemporary interior wall lamp. The piece reads as a delicate, slightly curved sheet of paper and is intended to deliver soft, ambient illumination for internal walls.

The design presents a large rectangular diffuser with a gentle horizontal curve and subtly folded corners, creating a minimalist silhouette. Two small circular metal fixings secure the glass to the mounting plate, and the open top and bottom allow light to wash the wall both upwards and downwards.

The diffuser is crafted from hand-blown cased glass with an acid-etched, frosted white finish that conceals the lighting technology behind a single continuous surface. The wall mounting plate and housing are manufactured in aluminium with an epoxy powder-coated finish and die-cast zamak components.

Light is delivered as reflected and diffused illumination: the translucent, acid-etched glass softens the source to create a glare-free glow while the open ends provide indirect up-and-down wall washing. The fixture is specified for indoor use and carries an IP20 rating.

Installation is simplified by discreet side fixings and an internal mounting plate that houses the lighting technology.
