Foscarini Buds Pendant

The Foscarini Buds Pendant is a blown-glass pendant designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for the Buds range. Its pebble-like, flattened ellipsoid shade takes cues from organic forms and is intended for suspended ceiling installation to provide directed overhead illumination.

The form is a wide, rounded silhouette with a broad bottom aperture that directs light downwards while keeping the sides opaque to limit glare. The Buds pendant is offered in Grey and Warm White, allowing simple compositions in runs or clusters.

The shade is mouth-blown glass with a high-gloss exterior finish on the grey variant and a matt white interior to aid diffusion. The fixture’s suspension pairs a thin, straight structural cable with a contrasting sinuous power cord for an intentionally asymmetric profile.

A wide base aperture gives clear downward light suited to general ambient and task-overhead roles, while the matt interior softens and spreads the output. The opaque outer surface helps control spill and shadow, making the Buds pendant effective above dining tables, kitchen islands or seating areas.

This pendant suspends from a central structural wire with the power cord entering the top through a small circular aperture. It is rated IP20 and therefore intended for indoor dry zones. Warranty: 1 year.
